Hannie Heere, a 64-year-old Dutch photographer, caught this little owl learning to fly. It looks like the baby owl in this picture that has been shared online is running quickly, but Miss Heere explained that it is actually just building up its muscles.
The Dutch photographer, who is 63 years old, has been interested in photography for a long time but has only recently started to take it seriously.
A few months ago, Hannie saw a baby owl while she was taking pictures outside of town. Around their nest, there were still tiny white fluffy feathers. She found out that owl babies aren’t strong enough to fly until they are 7 to 8 weeks old. The chicks can walk around their nest for now though because their legs are strong enough.
That’s what looks like it did happen. The little owl ran like that, and the skilled photographer caught the perfect moment. Because of this, everyone on Facebook fell in love with the cute owl. “I was lying on the floor,” Haney told PetaPixel. It was safe for many of these young birds because they hadn’t flown yet. I took the picture from about 16 feet (5 to 6 meters) away.
It never occurred to the photographer that this picture she took by accident would become so popular on social media. But a lovely picture. Online, they made waves. “I Was Really Shocked,” the woman said. That’s Really Great.
