The “poor bear stuck” on a power pole was saved by kind-hearted utility workers.

You did a great job, and these animals are amazing!

Lucky for us, someone did it!

That bear is really lucky! I want to thank the people who worked for the power company and helped this little guy.

When the little brown bear got stuck on a utility pole in Wilcox, Arizona, he was in a scary situation. The bear was lucky that a person working for a utility company saw it when it was in trouble and told their boss to help.

Warner Newbauer and Gallego, two workers from Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Co-op, went to see if they could help the animal.

“When we got there, we saw that the bear was in a very dangerous position and could die at any time. 7200 volts of power were running through the wires near the bear’s head.”

As soon as they could, they turned off the power to the lines and returned to the bear on the pole. The utility workers got close to the bear while standing in the boom truck’s storage basket.

Newbauer used an 8-foot plastic pole and talked to the bear from about 6 feet away to get it down. The bear didn’t like that, so he grabbed and bit the stick. Eventually, Newbauer was able to move the bear to a better spot. The bear then climbed down the pole on his own and ran away.

All of you are blessed because you saved that poor bear.
