Even though its body is dead and the leopard ate it, the cub hasn’t been able to leave its mother. The baby monkey might not have been able to believe that its mother had died. But it is a sight that breaks your heart.
Even though it was attacked in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, this baby vervet monkey won’t leave its mother. While hunting on October 14, leopards led by a girl named Olimba also killed the young man.
Shafeeq Mulla, a wildlife photographer from Chipata, Zambia, took a video of the monkey in the leopard’s mouth. He said, “Nature isn’t always pretty, and this picture shows us the brutal truth of life.”
The baby monkey was very close to its mother; no matter how hard it was hit, it didn’t leave it. But in the end, other leopards in the group killed it.
But for the environment to stay healthy, some animals must die so that others can live.
