Princess Kate and Prince William’s relationship goes through ups and downs just like any other. It all started in 2007 when the couple reportedly broke up for different reasons. They went their separate ways for a while, and Kate was said to be heartbroken by William’s behaviour. But in the end, they made up and kept going together.
Today, thirteen years after their beautiful wedding at Westminster Abbey, William and Kate have three beautiful children. But there are problems in every marriage, and even though many people think there is nothing wrong with a future king and queen, that is not the case.
A person who knows a lot about royal families says that the Prince and Princess of Wales have had problems in their marriage. Right now, it’s not as good as you might think.

William and Kate got married at Westminster Abbey in London on April 29, 2011. But just a few years before, in 2007, it looked like their love story was over. Some news sources even said that William and Kate were no longer together.
There were a lot of rumours going around when William and Kate broke up in 2007.
Some experts on the royal family said Prince William broke up with Kate because he didn’t think their relationship was as “fun” as it used to be. At the same time, Kate was said to be “desperately upset” because she had already imagined how they would get married one day.
Soon after they broke up, William is said to have gone to a lot of London nightclubs and seen a lot of other girls.
Kate was, of course, mad. It is said that “harsh words” were exchanged because Kate felt “humiliated” by William’s behaviour. She also thought he was “cheapening her image.”
Express quoted a report that said, “It was the first warning of this kind she had given in the four-and-a-half years they had been together.”
“Kate really had enough, and they talked.” One of Kate’s friends said that she told William that he was making her look bad. She’s had to deal with girls throwing themselves at her boyfriend for years. At first, she thought it was funny and even cute.
Others, though, say that neither William nor Kate Middleton had full control over their breakup. Royal expert Christopher Anderson, who wrote William and Kate: A Royal Love Story, says that Camilla, William’s stepmother and now Queen, played a big part.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, Anderson said that Camilla might have been a big reason why they broke up.
“I was in London when William and Kate broke up.” Seriously, I was shocked. Everyone else thought it was just a matter of time before William asked Kate to marry him. After that, folks began to tell me Camilla was to blame, Anderson said in 2016.

People still sometimes make guesses about what happened between William and Kate in 2007. Judy Wade, who used to write about the royal family for Hello! Magazine, came up with a new theory last year.
Wade says Kate began to understand what a big change it would be for her to become a senior member of the Royal Family.
“She might have known what a terrible responsibility it would be for her to take on.” Wade said, “Getting married to a royal is a life sentence.”
At the time, William was in Dorset with the Household Cavalry, while Kate was living in London. Because of this, they spent a lot of time apart. When William and Kate were getting engaged, they talked about their breakup in 2007.
During the interview, William said, “We did break up for a while.” “But it was just that we were both very young, we were in college, and we were both trying to figure out who we were and being different people and things.”
She also said, “I think I wasn’t happy about it at the time, but it made me a stronger person.”
“You learn things about yourself that you might not have known before.” Or, I believe that when you’re younger, a relationship can take over your life. When I think back on that time, I really valued it too, even though I didn’t realise it at the time.

William and Kate have also chosen to give their kids as “normal a childhood as possible.” By staying at Adelaide Cottage, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis get to experience life in a “normal” house, even though the house is beautiful and big.
Marriages in the royal family last a life time. But William and Kate Middleton have had their ups and downs, just like any other couple. They both have busy lives, so it must be hard for them to spend quality time together.

Duncan said, “Kate and William’s relationship grew stronger while they were at St. Andrew’s University, doing normal student things and just enjoying each other’s company.”
Since William is going to be king someday, you might think he would take Kate to Paris for the day or take her to a fancy lunch at a fancy restaurant. But it has never worked out that way. As we saw when they recently went back to St. Andrew’s for an engagement, they like to eat fish and chips by the water.

Since the UK no longer had restrictions on Covid-19, William and Kate made sure to spend some quality time together out on the town.
One time they did this was to visit Kate’s parents. The Prince and Princess of Wales used the fact that George, Charlotte, and Louis’ grandparents lived nearby to their advantage.
Larcombe said that Prince William and Kate Middleton don’t care about fancy things. But most of the time, they like to hang out together in a more “normal” place.
“William and Kate have been able to sneak off to the local pub for a night out by themselves while the grandparents watch the kids,” the royal expert said.
“I was told they did this to honour William’s birthday in June 2021.” William and Kate also like it when he makes bolognese for her and they watch TV together on the couch. They think of the time when they were students and first met, which is when their long-lasting relationship began.

Prince William spoke first, and then Kate had her chance. But William thought it was time to move on after a while. While she seemed antsy while talking to Princess Rajwa, William pointed at Kate and told her to move faster. Reports also say that the future king told her to “chop, chop.”
William only wanted Kate to move quickly, of course. But because of what he said, some royal experts have said bad things about how he treated his wife.
Judy James, a body language expert, told the Express that she didn’t like what she saw. She said William wasn’t at his “finest when it comes to either body language or words.”
It’s clear that he’s moved on from meeting the bride and groom, but James said that Kate was still talking to the bride in a lively and friendly way. “Because she’s not blocking the queue and the next guests are still talking to the groom, there doesn’t seem to be a good reason for William to hurry his wife along, especially since she only adds a few seconds to the conversation.”
James also said that the hand movements were “bad enough.” She kept telling Kate how great it was that she ignored William’s behaviour. “It has to be said, though, that his behaviour is too dominant here. His critical parent behaviour puts her firmly in the implied role of a naughty child,” she said.
The expert in body language said that the prince was “rude.”
Tom Quinn, a royal expert, says that William and Kate have said they don’t want to be seen as “the perfect couple that everyone else should try and emulate” in the royal family.
The marriage of William and Kate is “not as perfect as it might seem.”
According to Fox, the author of Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family, Prince William and Kate Middleton are like any other couple. They have days when they are “really, really cross with each other” and days when they don’t even talk to each other.
It’s important for the Prince and Princess of Wales to be seen as a normal couple. They have to work and deal with the stress of having kids, just like any other parents.
It might look like everything is fine between them, but Tom Quinn says that all healthy marriages have their problems. They know how to make deals and get by in everyday life, though.
“The people I’ve talked to say it’s not as calm.” “It’s not as good as it looks,” Quinn told Express. “But William changes his manners and acts like his grandmother, and Kate is very good at not complaining and adopting.”
This royal expert went on, “Both of them have stuck to what made the late Queen such a great monarch.” They don’t complain very often at all. And when they do, it’s always in a measured way.
Quinn went on to say that William and Kate also fight. It is “always kept under control” for the Prince and Princess of Wales, but some couples “throw heavy vases at each other.”

Quinn talked more about what Prince William and Kate’s marriage is like in an interview with Fox in March 2023. They call each other cute and funny nicknames, but it’s “not all sweetness.”
“Kate and William may both look like they are very calm people.” It’s not always true, though. Because having palace staff around all the time is a big source of stress for William and Kate. Tom Quinn said, “It’s like a Jane Austen book.”
“Kate is the calm one,” he said. “William is the one who gets angry.” Some of that can be seen in Harry’s book… However, Kate is very calm. When things are going badly, she’ll add oil to them and say, “Let’s not make a fuss.”
