Quaden is an Australian boy born with achondroplasia, a type of dwarfism. The world first learned about his story when his mother shared a video from early 2020. The clip, which went viral, showed the young boy in the back of the car feeling hurt and crying because his classmates made fun of him because of his condition.
Quaden, who is 12, asked his classmates to stop making fun of him because of his condition. He will now be in a big movie with Chris Hemsworth.
The video quickly got the whole world’s attention, and stars like Hugh Jackman, a big name in Hollywood, reacted to it. The Australian actor sent the sweet kid a video message on Twitter and said, “No matter what, you can count on me as a friend.” He told Quaden, “Mate, you are stronger than you think.”
And that wasn’t the end of the love and support for Quaden. In fact, Oscar-winning director George Miller gave him a part in his latest hit movie, Furiosa, which will be the fifth movie in the Mad Max series. The movie is set to come out in May 2024, and actors Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy will be in it.
After this was announced, the 12-year-old wrote to his 273k Instagram followers, “Can’t wait to watch on the big screen next year.”
But we won’t see Quaden on the big screen for the first time. In fact, he was an extra in Three Thousand Years of Longing, also directed by George Miller. He was able to act with stars like Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.
During the movie’s premiere, Quaden talked about how excited and passionate he was about this chance. He said, “I love acting and want to do a lot of it.”
Miller, in turn, said that the talented boy was “very skilled and knowledgeable about movies.” “Like everyone else, I saw the video that his mother posted,” said the famous director.
