Many high school students, from the time they set foot on campus as freshmen, look forward to the prom as one of those memorable events that they will cherish for the rest of their lives. However, there are many who, for various reasons, cannot attend their senior prom.
The senior class president of Watford City High School in Watford City, North Dakota, Dakota Wollan, did not intend to attend the school’s prom. Even though there were classmates he could question, he was not interested in doing so.
After that, though, his father gave him an insightful suggestion.
The question was posed by Dakota to his great-grandmother.
The senior in high school thought it was a good concept, so he devised a plan to propose to his great-grandmother, who is 92 years old.
“She passed me her old truck, a Ford from 1985, and I was able to get it going again.” “I have an old truck that she gave me.” According to what he said with KFYR, “so I took that vehicle and fashioned a sign.”
Even though he asked a family member, he reported being “very scared.”
It became clear, however, that he had absolutely no reason to be anxious because Madeline Miller was ecstatic.
She explained, “Before it, I had never been to a prom.”
Madeline said, “I was just wondering why he would want a 92-year-old person going to prom with him when there are so many young females in the school,” She said, “I was just wondering why he would want a 92-year-old person coming to prom with him.”
It didn’t matter how old Dakota was to him since, according to him, if it weren’t for his great-grandmother, he wouldn’t have been able to go to his last prom, and his great-grandmother wouldn’t have been able to go to her first prom either. Dakota’s attitude was ageless.
At the senior prom held at Watford City High School, the two of them were extremely popular.
Dakota shared her thoughts: “We came out on the floor, and everyone just went wild.”
In her words, Madeline’s favourite portions of the dance were “going with my great-grandson, listening to this music as we moved, and people cheering and yelling.”
