Elephant babies are so cute and innocent…These giants are very smart and friendly to people. His eyes are big and bright, and they are full of innocent love.
They are cute, but some hunters also chase them and try to catch them. Not all of the chicks are lucky enough to be able to wait for help and be set free. That’s sad.
This is about the brave little albino elephant. Because he was born with albino and pink skin, this baby elephant was different from everybody else. He was trapped in a poacher’s trap in a private reserve near the border of South Africa’s Kruger National Park. Volunteers from Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) freed him. The calf was taken to the sanctuary right away and checked for injuries.
For four days, this baby elephant was trapped. He was very weak because of this, and the trap was wrapped around his face, giving him deep wounds all over his mouth, face, and ears. The worst thing was that the poor baby elephant was in a lot of pain because maggots started eating its flesh. Really sad.
Sue Howells said that the elephant looked very innocent, weak, and pure, but it also seemed very brave.
Thanks to good luck, the baby elephant has now fully recovered and is healthy again. Now I’m very happy and healthy. Sue Howells says that the baby elephant is very strong. He really is luckier than other cubs since he saved his life.
So we’re glad the baby elephant made it through, and we hope the calf has a wonderful life ahead of it.
